SUMMARY
Gwen Frostic’s Art and Nature” is a collaborative exhibit project for the Ferris State Fine Art Gallery that we undertook during my junior year. Our team conceptualized a brand, carefully crafted the visitor experience, and thought through the gallery display. Working closely with the Women in Art History Class, who curated the exhibit, we meticulously planned the exhibit layout to effectively showcase diverse forms of media.
GOAL
Our goal was to create a brand with a visual representation of
Gwen Frostics work.

BUILDING A BRANDS
When developing the brand for the exhibit, our aim was to accurately portray the essence of Ms. Frostic’s work. Drawing inspiration from the common colors found in her art, we also utilized the Bernhard Typeface, which is prominently featured in her poetry books. To complement Bernhard, we incorporated Futura for a clean and modern typeface for body text. However, due to copyright constraints preventing us from using her original work, we opted for similar photography to convey the natural themes present in her art.
